Custom Car Audio Installation in Bengaluru

What is a custom car audio installation?

A custom car audio installation is a sound system designed around one specific vehicle rather than sold as a fixed package. At Autoplanet in Koramangala, Bengaluru, that means measuring the cabin, choosing speaker segments and amplification to suit your listening preferences, planning mounting and wiring for that model, and calibrating the result with a DSP before handover.

What this involves

Two cars of the same model can need different systems. Seat position, glass area, door construction, factory amplifier behaviour and the music you actually listen to all change what will work. That is why every Autoplanet build starts with a consultation rather than a product list.

We look at the vehicle, discuss how you listen, and explain the trade-offs between options before anything is quoted. Where a demonstration vehicle at the studio is configured similarly to what we are proposing, you are welcome to hear it first — evaluating with your own ears beats reading a spec sheet.

How we approach it

A transparent process, so you know what happens to your car and why.

  1. Consultation and listening brief

We establish what you listen to, at what volume, and what is missing from the current system. We inspect the vehicle and its factory audio architecture.

  2. System design

Speaker segments, amplifier channels, subwoofer type and DSP are selected to suit the cabin and the brief. You get the reasoning, not just a parts list.

  3. Integration planning

We plan how the system meets the factory harness and how components mount — routing, fixings and access are decided before any trim comes off.

  4. Acoustic treatment

Doors and panels are treated where the design calls for it, so the speakers work against a stable structure instead of a resonating one.

  5. Installation

Components are fitted to the plan, with attention to fit, finish and serviceability.

  6. Measurement and DSP calibration

Response is measured at the listening positions and the DSP is set for level, crossover, equalisation and time alignment.

  7. Handover and review

We walk you through the system, listen together, and adjust to your preference. Return for a follow-up tune once you have lived with it.

What's included

  • Vehicle inspection and system design consultation
  • Component selection with documented reasoning
  • Vehicle-specific mounting and wiring plan
  • Installation by the studio's technicians
  • Measurement-based DSP calibration to an agreed target
  • Handover walkthrough and a follow-up tuning session

What we don't claim

  • Published package pricing — every build is quoted after consultation
  • Any promise about factory warranty status until your specific vehicle is inspected
  • Work that would require modifications we judge unsafe or unsuitable for the vehicle

We would rather tell you the limits up front than have you discover them afterwards. Anything we cannot honestly promise before seeing your vehicle, we say so.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a car audio installation take?

It depends entirely on scope. A front-stage upgrade with a compact DSP amplifier is a different job from a full active system with custom enclosures and extensive damping. We give you a realistic time estimate at the consultation stage, once we know the vehicle and the design — and we would rather quote honestly than rush a calibration.

Will upgrading my car audio affect my warranty or wiring?

This is vehicle-specific and can only be answered after inspection. Different manufacturers, model years and factory amplifier architectures behave differently, and dealer policies vary. We assess your car's specific setup at consultation and tell you what we can and cannot do without altering factory wiring. We do not make blanket claims about warranty outcomes, because no installer can honestly make one.

Can I hear a system before I buy?

Yes — that is the point of the demonstration vehicles at the Koramangala studio. Subject to availability, you can listen to configured systems and compare approaches before committing. Call ahead so we can make sure a relevant vehicle is at the studio when you visit.

Do I need to replace my factory head unit?

Often not. In many modern cars the factory screen controls climate, cameras and vehicle settings, so replacing it costs you function. We typically retain the factory interface and integrate at the signal level instead. See OEM audio integration for how that works.

What music should I bring to the consultation?

Bring the tracks you actually listen to, at the quality you actually stream or play them. A system tuned around reference recordings you never listen to is tuned for the wrong job. Familiar material is the most useful evaluation tool you have.
