Seat and Interior Customisation in Bengaluru

What does interior customisation involve?

Interior customisation covers seat upholstery or covers, trim finishes, steering and console details, and boot or cargo area presentation. The outcome depends on three things: the material chosen, the pattern cut for that specific seat shape, and whether the fitting respects the car's airbags, sensors and seat mechanisms.

What this involves

Seat work is judged at close range, every day, from a distance of centimetres. That is an unforgiving context, and it is why pattern accuracy matters more than material grade. A premium hide cut to a generic pattern will wrinkle at the bolsters and look worse than a modest material cut properly for that seat.

The second consideration is safety systems. Modern seats contain side airbags with designed tear seams, occupancy sensors and belt pretensioner routing. Any covering must respect all of these. We will decline a specification that we judge would interfere with them.

Beyond seats, the interior can be treated as a whole: trim finishes, console details, and how it all relates to any ambient lighting or audio work happening at the same time. Doing these together while trim is already apart is both tidier and more economical than doing them in separate visits.

How we approach it

A transparent process, so you know what happens to your car and why.

  1. Consultation and material selection

We discuss how you use the car, who sits in it, and what you want it to feel like, then go through material options and their real-world behaviour.

  2. Vehicle and seat assessment

Seat construction is examined — airbag seams, sensors, mechanisms and existing condition are all documented before anything is quoted.

  3. Pattern planning

Patterns are planned for your specific seat shape, including how seams fall on bolsters and how the design relates to the rest of the interior.

  4. Preparation

Seats and trim are removed and prepared. Existing damage or wear is addressed as agreed.

  5. Fabrication and fitting

Material is cut and fitted to the planned pattern, with airbag seams and sensor locations respected throughout.

  6. Reassembly

Seats and trim are refitted and all electrical connections — heating, sensors, adjustment — are reconnected and checked.

  7. Function check and handover

Seat adjustment, heating and any occupancy-related warnings are checked before the car goes back to you.

What's included

  • Material consultation covering wear, heat behaviour and maintenance
  • Seat and trim assessment before quoting
  • Pattern planning specific to your vehicle's seats
  • Fabrication and fitting that respects airbag seams and sensors
  • Reassembly with electrical function checks

What we don't claim

  • Any specification we judge would interfere with airbags, occupancy sensors or belt systems
  • Guarantees about material longevity beyond the supplier's stated terms
  • Repair of underlying seat frame or mechanism damage unless agreed as separate scope

We would rather tell you the limits up front than have you discover them afterwards. Anything we cannot honestly promise before seeing your vehicle, we say so.

Frequently asked questions

Will seat covers interfere with my side airbags?

They can, and this is the single most important question in seat work. Seats with side airbags have designed tear seams that must be able to open. A covering that runs across that seam without accommodating it can obstruct deployment. We identify the airbag configuration on your seats and will decline a specification that we judge compromises it.

What material is best for Bengaluru weather?

There is no single answer, which is why it is a conversation rather than a recommendation. The relevant variables are how hot the material gets in direct sun, how it handles humidity in monsoon months, how it wears with daily entry and exit, and how easy it is to clean if you carry children or pets. We go through the honest trade-offs of each option against how you actually use the car.

Can you match the factory interior style?

Often closely, and that is usually the brief for premium cars — an interior that reads as if it could have left the factory that way. How close we can get depends on the original material, grain and stitching, and on what is available. We show you material samples against your own interior rather than asking you to judge from a photograph.

How long does interior work take?

It varies with scope — full re-upholstery of all seats is a substantially larger job than front seats alone or trim detailing. Material availability also affects timing. Because the car is off the road for the duration, we give you a realistic window at consultation and tell you promptly if anything changes.
